Role Overview:
The Executive – Supplier Development will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing a robust supplier base to meet the company’s quality, cost, and delivery objectives. This role involves assessing supplier capabilities, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring alignment with MBV Aerospace’s strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supplier Assessment & Qualification:
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on technical capabilities, financial stability, and capacity.
- Conduct supplier audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Relationship Management:
- Develop strong relationships with key suppliers to foster collaboration and long-term partnerships.
- Act as the primary point of contact for supplier issues, negotiations, and performance reviews.
- Performance Monitoring & Improvement:
- Monitor supplier performance metrics, including quality, delivery, cost, and responsiveness.
- Work with suppliers to implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Cost Management & Negotiation:
- Lead cost-reduction initiatives without compromising quality and delivery timelines.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to ensure value for the organization.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Coordinate with internal teams, including procurement, engineering, and quality assurance, to align supplier capabilities with project requirements.
- Support new product introductions (NPI) and ensure supplier readiness.
- Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure suppliers adhere to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of supplier audits, performance reviews, and contracts.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in supplier development, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in the aerospace or electronics industries.
- Strong understanding of quality standards (ISO 9001, AS9100) and regulatory compliance.
- Proven experience in supplier audits and performance management.
- Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
